This international qualification is the benchmark for driving small powerboats and RIB's (Rigid Inflatable Boats). It is important for Deck Crew intending to work in the professionally yachting industry as they will be required to drive the tenders and other craft onboard the yacht. Only 3 students to one instructor - very "hands on" and lots of practical. This course is offered in conjunction with our RYA training partner.

a 5-day 'live-aboard' course onboard a Beneteau 40.7 training yacht runs from Monday to Friday. The week will be broken into short passages with skills and drills in and around Sydney harbour and Pittwater. It may also include a short coastal passage North or South along the NSW coast. You will learn how to steer and trim the sails on all points as well as managing the safety and seamanship issues onboard.

We particularly work on bringing your CV to "Superyacht standard!" and preparing you for the important job interview! You learn how to look for work effectively and how to stand out from the crowd!
The extra half-day includes work with rope and knots, nautical terminology, flags, bridgewatch, doing the "Dockwalk", interviews with Captains, and a tour around a Yacht**.

This is a very popular MCA-approved training programme for skippers. It offers a reliable route to the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore & Master of Yachts 200gt certificate. This is the benchmark for commercial skippers entering the professional yachting industry. There are various programs ranging from 9 to 18 weeks depending on your experience and required level.
