About the Trainers:
 
Principal Crew Trainer
   

Donna Morris works as a Superyacht Agent & Crew Trainer at the Australian Superyacht Crew Recruitment & Training headquarters in Sydney.  She has worked in the Superyacht industry since 1993, and her many years of experience in the field has allowed her to ascend to a position of leadership and respect, and given her the opportunity to pass along her knowledge to students beginning their marine careers. Donna is also mentoring experienced crew to successfully progress they yachting careers.

 

Donna has been a crew training instructor since 2006, specialising in teaching Steward / Stewardess courses. She is an experienced trainer who holds the nationally recognised 'Certificate IV in Training & Assessment' (TAE40110) qualification for adult vocational training. 

In 2011 Donna has completed MedAire's Medical Instructor Qualification (Maritime Training Programs) Maritime and Coastguard Agency Training in Singapore. 

Early on, Donna recognised the need for courses aimed at intermediate and advanced level students in yacht training, focusing on individuals with a successful employment history, but who require training in the skills and techniques that will take them to the next level of professional responsibility, achievement, and reward.

Aboard international luxury yachts of all sizes, Donna has worked in a variety of capacities, including as Chief Stewardess & Purser aboard five large Superyachts that cruised seas around the world. She has an extensive prior professional history in hospitality and guest services.

Additionally, Donna and her husband Captain Richard Morris are the Editors & Head Researchers for Great Southern Route (now in its second edition), which is the premier companion cruising guide for Superyacht captains visiting the Southern Hemisphere. Their expertise has enabled countless luxury yacht owners, captains, and their guests to realise the greatest satisfaction and joy possible from their journeys ‘downunder’.

 
 
 
About the Assistant Trainers:

 

Albert Beslee – Interior Crew trainer – Sydney

Albert has recently returned from Europe in 2011 after working on Superyachts, private villas and top restaurants in France for the last 10 years.  His skill and knowledge of all aspects of Superyacht interior operations has been enhanced by his professional hospitality studies at the Academie de Nice, where he studied Hotel Management, Restaurant and Silver Service, plus Wine studies.  Albert has worked on large yachts such as the 85-m MY Vibrant Curiosity, and the 67-m MY White Cloud, travelling the Mediterranean and Caribbean.  He has been Chief Steward on the 52-m MY Lady in Blue and the lead service steward on the 115-m Motor Yacht Pelorus.  He speaks fluent French and Engish.  We are very happy to welcome Albert to our training team and feel that students will benefit from his enthusiasm and his in-depth wine knowledge and his well-rounded experience in the industry!

Rhonda Smith – Interior Crew trainer – Sydney

Rhonda has enjoyed a long career working on Superyachts since 1998.  Over the years she has accumulated mileage and experience and progressed through the ranks to become Chief Stewardess.  Rhonda has worked on the full range of types and sizes of Superyachts: Boss, Atlantica, Big City, Arrowhead, Endless Summer, SY Athena, Crystal Sea, Big Eagle, Morgan Star, Lady M, Christianne B, Braveheart, Neninka and Tigre d'Or to name a few!!!  Rhonda is also a qualified and experienced Fitness Trainer and now a Superyacht Crew Trainer too.  Friendly and easygoing, Rhonda enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with students about to embark on what she knows will be a fabulous sea career.

   
 

Anna Wallace – Interior & Chef trainer – Gold Coast

Anna is a veteran of the industry, having started her career working on Superyachts in1987.  Anna is a trained Chef and Butler and has worked onboard Superyachts in the capacify of Stewardess as well as Chef.  On the Superyachts that Anna has worked aboard (Bad Girl, SY Mystery, Shipworks, Chamar, Myway, Obsessions and Southern Cross II to name a few) she has racked up the miles and some comprehensive experience which she enjoys imparting to students.  Anna is passionate about cooking, giving good service, travelling and the sea.  Her easygoing nature and warm inclusive style will keep students focussed and give them the preparation that they need.
