some of the action: Check it out! Australian Superyacht Crew in the Gold Coast
The principal, Donna Morris a veteran of the Superyacht Industry (Purser and Stewardess) will be instructing this “Interior Crew” training course. There is a limit of 10 participants - so get in quick to ensure your place. Don't delay!
If you would like to chat to us and find out more about this training opportunity please either phone Donna on 0410-689288 or (02) 9818 2024 or send us an online enquiry or email (crew@superyachtcrew.com.au) mentioning the “February Gold Coast Interior Crew course”.
“Crew Recruitment activity is really gearing up.” says Donna Morris. “We are continually receiving interest from Owners and Captains both locally and internationally.” There seems to be a good surge of jobs in the USA these days, so that bodes well for new entrants to the industry. It is fair to say that there is a shortage of the right crew!”
ASC Recruitment & Training aims to place its students in the industry and have had great success in this regard. Age doesn’t seem to be a barrier either. We have placed two past students (both who were over 35 years old) on large motor yachts. It’s really about finding a “good fit” for the owner and captain. Many owners are looking for social skill, finesse and extra skills these days so it is often a viable idea for someone who wants a career change to cross-train to work on yachts. Students who have backgrounds in massage, beauty, hairdressing, medical, cooking etc. usually have no problem getting work and our courses make sure that their confidence is boosted and their approach is “spot on”.
Getting into this industry can be competitive so it is a huge advantage for students to have attended a professionally accredited Superyacht Training course where they emerge with knowledge of what is required to work successfully as professional interior crew and gain a level of competence to begin their career in the industry. It gives Superyacht Captains a lot more confidence to hire them as new entrants if they’ve invested in themselves with this valuable training and shown a professional approach.
Book in for the course now. Course participant numbers are limited, so be quick to book to reserve your place! UPDATE: Jan 29: VERY FEW PLACES LEFT NOW... so hurry..!!!
